Fashion nerds are hot for the horsebit these days. Gucci has really taken up the reins, slapping the equine restraint on purses, plus loafers for men and women. The trend has been brewing ever since Jessica Simpson (does anyone else feel ill every time they see her "kissable cosmetics"?) trotted out a horsebit handbag on the last season of her reality show. Is it a nod to the preppy polo set, or a wink to S&M culture? (we vote for the latter: Flaunt and Tokion featured models dressed as horses, gagged at the mouth) Just 18 minutes left for a Gucci horse-bit floral hobo handbag on eBay -- $380 with 57 bids thus far. Wait, make that $405 with 59 bidders.
