Sexy star Kate Winslet admitted to Glamour UK that she doesn't always feel so glamorous walking down the red carpet. "When I read how an actress 'made a statement in black', I just think, 'Oh, period or fat day.' Sometimes you just don't feel confident enough to wear twinkly yellow taffeta."

Is that what "made a statement in black" means? I don't think period or fat day. I'd rather see somebody in a sexy black dress than in some goofy yellow thing. At the very least, it's difficult to look offensive in black.
