Rapper/producer Kanye West deserves props for bringing attention to conflict diamonds -- the dark side of bling not often explored by luxe-loving rappers -- in his new single "Diamonds from Sierra Leone." Of course the song still chronicles his rise to fame, Hennessy and Yves Saint Laurent glasses.

rap continues to water down any artistic merit that it had at one time.its deep how shallow it is'.
