The New York Times chronicles the rise of an unappetizing, yet popular, fur for fall, astrakhan, sometimes made from unborn sheep. The NYT called several fashion houses to get the skinny on which they use: Armani (newborn), Prada (wouldn't say, but rumors say fetal), Dolce & Gabbana (both), Marc Jacobs (don't know).
