Aren't we lucky to live in world where a preppy, high-pitched queen and maudlin, damaged crooner are both regarded as legends? Bio-pic buffs are in luck this month as two beloved (and equally tortured) American icons get their Hollywood tributes. Great filmmaking aside, the black ensembles worn by Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line" and Phillip Seymour Hoffman's 1950's suited-up look as Truman Capote in "Capote" say a lot about the variety of fashion sense among American male rebels.
