I Have a Hunch

hunch1.jpgCan anyone explain the tendency for models to curve their backs in photos? (like this model in a gorgeous orange Hermes toga dress). Yes, the models look more angular, sculptural and arty, but they also look like hunchbacks. And how am I supposed to get a good look at that incredible dress? Oh well.

I see many teenage and young adult girls walking around like this, with shoulders rolled forward. Don't their mothers yell at them to "Stand up straight!" like mine did (does)?

As a person with a short torso, sometimes i have to hunch over like this to have the top part of my dress or shirt to "fit" correctly...sucks to be a petite girl and wear clothes made for 5'11" amazons!
