New York magazine's "Most Influential People in Fashion" spread has a few gems among the yawns (yes, yes, we know Anna Wintour and Marc Jacobs are influential). Some highlights: Barneys buyer Julie Gilchrist hits up student shows herself to seek out fresh talent (aspiring designers, please memorize her photo, left), and vintage buyer Mary Catalina's collection is often the "inspiration" behind Oscar de la Renta and Anna Sui's runway collections.
