Curbside Catwalk: Ann Arbor, Michigan

A film student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Rica D., 23, has over 60 pairs of shoes and four closets. She likes to mix things up. "I'll wear board shorts one day, and Dior shoes the next," Rica says. This Virginia native is wearing:

+ Hale Bob halter top "From Loehmann's for $40, and I saw it at a hip-hop/trendy store the next week for $200!"
+ Serfontaine jeans
+ Steve Madden beaded wedges
+ Moyna purse, made in India
+ fresh-water pearl and silver necklace from the Philippines
+ earrings (she's got ten pairs in her ears) from random varied places, such as Meijer, Claire's, and a store in Maui.

Fashion trends that make Rica want to stab herself in the eye include
girls who wear words on their butts and those huge white platform flip-flops ("unless you're coming off a boat, you shouldn't be seen in them").
