A recent biotech conference used fashion to show the bright side of genetically-modified crops, showcasing looks by Oscar de la Renta, Versace and Diesel that used fabrics made from corn. "It has all of the attributes of polyester," one pro-GMO fellow told the Associated Press, "and is much more environmentally friendly." Let's just hope they don't keep polyester's infamous sweat-making attributes.
