Sugar and spice and everything vice. That's what my daydreams were made of -- in 1984, at least. Of all the manly vices -- gluttony, sloth, greed being top three -- my favorite of all is vanity, a la "Miami Vice." But not the "unfashionable present" of the Foxx-and-Farrell variety. We're talking old school "Vice" -- Necco wafer-colored trousers, no socks, open blazers, stubble, and hair gel. Bless Guy Trebay at the New York Times for rekindling my ancient crush on Rico Tubbs and solidifying Vice's place in the history of men's fashion.
