After Fashion School

venacava-vv.jpgThe Village Voice shows us how tough it can be to launch a collection out of design school, including stays on mom and dad's couch, hemorrhaging cash and "developing sketches for the Big Deal Designer who hasn't seen the inside of a sewing room since the Carter administration." And sadly, thanks to the popularity of "Project Runway," the competition won't get any easier: USA Today reports that more and more folks are applying to fashion school.
