Retro Grades

retro-movies.jpgYou know it's fall in Hollywood when a movie's wardrobe is more compelling than the performances themselves. Sadly such is the case with the plodding Diane Lane and Ben Affleck flick, "Hollywoodland," and remains to be seen with this Friday's "The Black Dahlia" (both noir-ish Tinsel Town whodunits.) Yes, the 1940s and 1950s-era costumes in each are stunning, though I think I'll save my money and hit vintage clothing stores instead.
