Dubbed an "It" girl by Vogue in March, fashion-world figure Genevieve Jones was noticeably absent from Fashion Week. Some are guessing her less-than-flattering profile in the Wall Street Journal last Thursday had something to do with it. The piece painted her as a flighty, Afro-American Holly Golightly type who cultivated enough faux mystique to make her a one-woman marketing machine with pals like Zac Posen and Andre Leon Talley. Now the buzz question is, will the Journal profile of the 31-year-old (who said she was 27) spell the demise of her "career" or add to her mystery?
