Models for Alberta Ferretti and Michael Kors spring 2007 runway shows balanced long crimped hair with costumey make-up reminiscent of Prince and his jaded counterparts, the Revolution. Even 19-year-old Evan Rachel Wood, starring in Augusten Burrough's memoir "Running With Scissors" sported corrugated locks and peacock eyeshadow as an oversexed teen. It all began with the Sebastian hair salon, which created the crimping iron for Barbara Streisand. Do these irons still exist, or does this mean we all have to start braiding before bed?
