Now we understand why IMG fashion week in Los Angeles was so short on designers this year -- several indie fashion shows (Kitten Fashion Week, BOXeight and GenArt) have popped up to help smaller designers break into fashion without breaking the bank. And a few who showed at IMG fashion week last year -- Kushcush, Eduardo Lucero and Yana K -- have moved on to the independent showcases. [via Hollywood Today]
