SJP Gets Bitten

The same folks who brought you really cheap basketball sneakers are now set to bring you sportswear fronted by actress and "style icon" Sarah Jessica Parker, all for below-Wal-Mart prices. Steve & Barry's, the up-and-coming super-cheapo retailer, will sell the new collection, called Bitten, so named for SJP's passion for cheap clothes. "Parker was blown away by the company's mission and bitten by the Steve & Barry's bug after walking into a Steve & Barry's store for the first time." Are we really supposed to believe that? After all, this is coming from a woman who has worn Lanvin, Chanel couture and Alexander McQueen and walked a thousand miles in Manolo Blahniks. [via Fashion Week Daily]
