Folks on the Fashion Spot complain that Alexander McQueen's long-awaited diffusion line, McQ, isn't all that much easier on the pocketbook ($500-$1,000 for a dress) than his ready-to-wear line ($1,300 and up, retail), which makes us wonder if news of Zac Posen's upcoming diffusion line won't necessarily diffuse the designer's hefty price tags. It's also possible that capsule collections from Proenza Schouler for Target and Stella McCartney for H&M have set prices for high fashion so low that everything seems like it costs too much. Are we completely spoiled, or should fashion fiends demand lower prices to feed our addictions?
