Best Dressed Bloggers: My Fashion Life

A British blog with global reach, My Fashion Life can be counted upon for news and views from the world of style. Our favorite recent post from Michele Obi? The one about jeans with built-in thongs exposed. You've gotta see it to believe it.

What are you wearing?
The top is 80s vintage from a store in Notting Hill and the jeans are Topshop.
Who inspires you?
People inspire me...from the creatives to the academics. I'm completely inspired by knowledge and believe you can never stop learning, especially from people.

What disgusting trend (new or old) do you secretly love?
Shoulder Pads! LOL what can I say I'm an 80's baby.

If your blog was a person, what would it wear?
The blog is so versatile and doesn't discriminate so it'd probably wear most designers from the high end to the independent and would be comfortable in couture as well as the high street.

How did you become interested in fashion?
This is a difficult one... I really don't know how or why. My mum was big on fashion and was incredibly stylish so that could possible be it. All I can really remember is from the age of 6 I was drawing dresses and trying to create vest tops, skirts & dresses from plastic carrier bags. Or I'd look through catalogs and try to recreate my favourite pieces with fabric and a small hand sewing machine. I was an only child ;-)

What's the best thing in your closet?
Mmmmm... this is a tough one, probably a halter-neck knee length, deep blue pleated dress by Paul Davis that I bought last summer. It was a bargain at £10 down from £100 at a secret store of mine which sometimes stocks top designers at ridiculous prices. It fits beautifully and I feel so special every time I wear it.

Is there anything you wouldn't do for the Anya Hindmarch "I'm not a plastic bag"?
I wouldn't do a thing for this bag... I think it's overrated and the hype surrounding it is ridiculous!
