Gucci Gets Eco

bamboo-flats-gucci.jpgQuietly, Gucci has been getting all green on us, and by green we don't mean just expensive. First came straw-and-bamboo flats made from renewable materials, and now Gucci will use energy-efficient lighting in its New York flagship. With all the waste and dyes involved in producing clothes, we're happy to see them take a step of two in the right direction, even if skeptics might call it greenwashing. Keeping things entirely local is one recycled clothing enthusiast who's making her own Gucci.
