While most designer collections are centered on concepts such as pleasure or find inspiration from obscure foreign films, Karl Lagerfeld -- who likely never flies coach -- feels for today's traveler and claims his 2008 resort collection was inspired by the miserable experience airline travel has become. "It's the idea of flying, which is a nightmare today," Lagerfeld told WWD before his show, "and the make-belief it still could be divine." We'd fly your airline, Karl.
