Curbside Catwalk: New York City

We met Brooklyn-based DJ Patrick Rood, 25, on his way to a photo shoot in Soho (look for him in the August issue of XLR8R magazine). He told us he spun electro and house but we saw the first Fugees record on that little hand-truck of his so we guess he's sort of a Renaissance man. Style-wise he's a prince. He told us he likes to shop vintage in Williamsburg (Mishka, Beacon's Closet) but when it's time to get dressed, he just wears what feels right. Today he's he’s feeling modern:

Tee-shirt and gray plastic necklaces: Name Ribbon
Skinny Jeans: Trash and Vaudeville. "I had to buy them when I worked as a personal assistant to (performance artist) Terence Koh. His entire staff has to wear all-white."
Sneakers: Vans
Backpack: 555 Soul

mishka ain't vintage! it's what you wear in your dreams when you are another person that is better than you!
