Amy Winehouse rocks an ironic dress of her own design in the latest Fashion Rocks supplement -- a frock adapted from one of those ghetto, off-the-street T-shirts featuring black women heroes Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks and Maya Angelou. The problem for some is that the shirt is actually an homage to the National Pan-Hellenic Council, an umbrella organization for historically black sororities and fraternities. And because these groups are so guarded about people wearing their symbols, they're none too happy about Ms. Winehouse rocking the Greek letters (particularly since said groups are about being role models). Surely though, Ms. Winehouse has more pressing problems at the moment and it's safe to guess the editors and stylists at Conde Nast wouldn't have known what a black sorority was even if Tyra Banks had been in "Stomp the Yard."

This is ridiculous to even be discussing. Every little thing that "greeks" talk about is unity- yet they ALL seem to be fighting and being messy about all the wrong things in life.. Instead of worrying about photos of respected people and greek letters on a shirt- go do something productive. I don't think it's offensive- I think it's stupid for petty people to bring up. Just because the woman has personal issues, they judge and attack what they cannot explain.
