The special "relationship" celebs have with designers is "not really about the clothes," says the Los Angeles Times. "It's about the money." If that's true, then will celebrities be punished for not showing up to the runway's front row? If it's true (and Fashion Week Dailysays it's most certainly not) the rumored lack of A-list celebrities at the upcoming New York Fashion Week could have an interesting effect on future modeling campaigns, perhaps giving lucrative ad campaign work back to models if stars fail to promote the labels they front. For example, if Scarlett Johansson were to send her stylist to Paris rather than sit in the front row herself, why would Louis Vuitton bother hiring her again?
