September 11, 2007Athletic Glam
Tanks were conceived with square necks, isoceles halters, and racerbacks over deep V-shapes. A dress that appeared to be a fabulous floor-length tee was actually a sheath made up of two complementary panels, the under layer cut to reveal calf with a swinging stride. The effect was a glammed up athleticism reminiscent of a young Coco Chanel. Not to be overlooked were the pitch-perfect accessories -- must-have wedges, sky-scraping heels and oversized aviator shades. Project Runway's Nina Garcia promised several pieces would be showing up in the pages of Elle.
