New York Fashion Week is over and my head is filled with visions of the future. Could white be the new black of spring (again)? According to New York magazine's fashion robot, 3,144 white and off-white looks edged pretty close to beating out basic black -- there were 3,848 of those. Metallics, asymmetrical shoulders (seen here on a Zac Posen gown), bold ethnic patterns, acid greens, nipped-in jackets, and blocks of color are things to look out for in 2008. The next time you see these clothes up close, it will be in the magazines, then up close and personal at Barneys or Bergdorf's -- or some variation even sooner at Forever 21.
