Carrie Onby Nana at November 22, 2007, 1:05 AMTalk about hi-lo. Sarah Jessica Parker -- of Manolo Blahnik-fiending, Carrie Bradshaw fame (not Jon Bon Jovi as rumored) -- breezed into the Project Runway workroom and challenged the designers to come up with a high-end, $40 look for her Bitten line.
CommentsI noticed that the vest is now available on the Steve and Barry website but not the dress which I really think made that outfit awesome. But the vest is only $14.98- cool price. Also the challenge must have been nearly impossible with that budget as most of the fabrics at Mood are atleast $8.00 a yard- good luck designers! a $40.00 outfit is absurd, as is JSP. no credibility at all for me. Her body is not typical at all, she wears very couture style clothes and thinks people will buy simple re worked designs just cause its her label? Posted by: deb at January 10, 2008 11:58 AM Actually, the winning outfit is at Steve and Barry's, at least, in Burbank, CA. The vest and the dress. In all sizes up to 22. The colors were different tho. I do not want to sound like an ad for S&B's but the prices were great and Sarah Jessica Parkers line is fashionable, quality clothing for a decent price. Anyone who bags her for wearing fashion within her means is not looking at the big picture. She is making it possible, in a fashionable way, for people like me who cannot live within her means. And she is thinking of all sizes. So for any of you who are complaining about her it just sounds like sour grapes to me. Not everyone can shop the FASHIONISTA budget! Right SJP & Steve & Barry's Posted by: amanda at January 11, 2008 7:23 AM Post a comment
