Calvin Klein Launches Cosmetic Line

calvinkleinsmall.jpgWanting to link make-up back to fashion, Calvin Klein will debut its first ever make-up collection in January 2008. Utilizing the colors that are found on the runway, the cosmetics are actually being created to match both the color and the texture of the garments; if for example a fuchsia shirt has a cellophane overlay, the matching lipstick might have a touch of gloss. I predict that if the beauty line does well, other designers will follow suit.

This is not Calvin Klien's first attempt at a makeup collection. He's tried a few times to lauch a line and has had limited success. Maybe this time he will have more luck at breaking into the market. See the article below:

Fourth time's a charm?
Designer brand Calvin Klein is trying its hand at makeup once again. (This is Klein’s fourth attempt; he first launched his line in 1978 when I was working in Washington, DC, as a makeup artist—and his red-lacquered compacts were stunning.) After a brief resurgence in the early 2000s, the brand’s (mostly exemplary) color cosmetics line was discontinued due to declining sales. Now owned by Markwins (parent company to discount makeup line Wet ‘N’ Wild), Klein’s latest makeup collection debuted in Italy in May, and will begin a European rollout before reappearing in the United States. Who knows if the fourth time will be the charm, because this line’s products have always been on par with or better than lots of other popular cosmetics lines (Source: Happi, May 2007, page 52).

Maybe you should check your facts, Ms. Moses. This most certainly is not Calvin Klein's "like, omigod, first ever make-up line". I used to be addicted to his nude and berry colored glosses. They had a perfect texture and just the right amount of sparkle.

I have to agree with the previous comments. Actually, I had the privilege of working at the Calvin Klein head office in London back in 2004. Because the then make up line was sadly discontinued, the employees were blessed with the remaining items. I'm a make up artist myself and found his make up to be absolutely flawless and of a superior quality. I'm truly happy that he has re-launched!

I stumbled uopn this website, found this product called IHT 9 Intensive Hair Regrowth Shampoo. I researched over Internet about this shampoo and all its natural ingredients (its a 100% herbal shampoo) and then I decided to give a try. I have been using this shampoo for more than 2 months and I must tell you all that it has not only stopped hair loss but have actually stimulated very tiny hair growth at my balding forehead. I am so happy that I came across this wonderful product!

At such an early age of 18 I surprisingly lost all my hair and went bald. You can imagine yourself how much of a social embarrassment it was. was avoiding and I got completely cut-off with my friend’s circle because everybody was making fun of me. Then one of my friends came up with this wonderful hair loss treatment
and advised me to use it or be forever depressed. I preferred giving it a try and now I am more then glad to have my hair back and in a better state now.
