Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej's recent appearance in a powder pink ensemble spurred a craze for the color across the country, with fashionable nationalists mobbing shops in search of blush-colored shirts and slacks. If the divine monarch's mellow turn after years of somber suits has shoppers in a frenzy it's because this is a fashion statement from on high. In our own country, the success of this look bodes well for pre-owned car salesmen, televangelists and retirees.
