313 Merch, the clothing company launched by former heavy metal bassist John "Tumor" Fahnestock (Snot/Amen), is marketing a reissue of Iron Maiden's classic hesher cutoff featuring Britney Spears. I don’t get it. First of all, the original tee-shirt featuring “Eddie the Head” chained to a rubber room was without-exception black. 313’s is barista white. Who’s gonna wear that? Secondly, Eddie is a skinny zombie – with hair. (It's bandaged up, but it's there.) The Britney on the tee is a bald, post-partum, pop star. By the time she landed in a rubber room she was none of those things. As parody-wear this doesn’t even attain the level of a mullet wig. Brit should give those dudes a piece of her mind. Oh wait, she lost it.
