It appears that the "Counterfeit Triangle has been flattened" reports WWD. A grand total of $1M worth of fragrance and product(from Prada to Dora the Explorer) knockoffs were confiscated from 32 illegal Canal St storefronts that were shut down by the NYPD on Tuesday morning. This time the city is going after the landlords and the vendors. This season's scapegoat: Vincent Terranova estate, a landlord who city officials said has knowingly rented out space to counterfeit retailers dating as far back as 1999.
I say $2M will be the asking price to "smooth" things over with the city and of course just in time for the tourist shopping season.
