Going Green

earthday.jpg
You may not compost your kitchen scraps or drive a hybrid, but you can still make an Earth Day fashion statement. The once-hippie-now-hip realm of eco-fashion is as chic and easy as sustainable bamboo blend tops and organic denim jeans. No patchouli or hemp necklaces necessary. [Image courtesy of Sprig.com]

WOW! Eco-fashion has definitely made it's mark in the fashion industry. Not only is it one of the hottest things going on in the green community, but it's certainly going to be added to the list of "hottest trends of 2008". It's a fabulous way to grab peoples' attention and get the public to realize just how important it is that we try our best to help preserve the earth.

I've remodeled my closet by starting a whole new wardrobe but it doesn’t stop there. I've finally officially crossed over to the green side. One of the most interesting things that I've done so far was switch to bioheat. Have you ever heard of it?
It's made of heating oil blended with organic materials like soybean oil and avocado. It's kind to the heating system, and the best part about it all is that it's non-toxic and biodegradable. How cool is that? It's definitely my best friend during the winter.

I found out about bioheat through my job here at NORA. I did a bit more research and found out a lot of info from:
http://oilheatamerica.com/index.mv?screen=bioheat.

Check it out and see what other info it has to offer that may be helpful to you!
