Who wants to be a model really bad?

gemase_model_bluefly.jpgThe glut of make-me-a-model reality shows including 'America's Next Top Model,' 'Make Me a Supermodel,' Janice Dickinson's show on Oxygen, 'America's Smartest Model' and to some extent, 'Project Runway' have so glamorized the profession that apparently people with big dreams will do just about anything to be one. That was proven with Dateline's recent expose 'Reality Bites,' which alleged that contestants on what turned out to be an elaborate ruse were sexually assaulted by folks on Gemanse Simmons' fake reality show. What's especially nutty this is that even after dubious activities went on -- asking guys if they were circumcised, for example -- none of the contestants left the set. They should have known something was up upon learning the grand prize was $50,000; that's supermodel chump change.
