Own Suede's Winning Project Runway Dressby nana at July 23, 2008, 10:00 PM
Commentswoo hoo! If only I had $280... I love that dress! Posted by: Kimber at July 24, 2008 12:11 AM I just e-mailed a request! Such a COOL dress. Thanks for letting some of the public get in on this. Posted by: Allison at July 24, 2008 1:06 AM anyone want to donate some money???????? I need that dress!! Posted by: maria at July 24, 2008 1:16 AM If it were only reasonable for us regular people! I love that dress. Posted by: Michelle at July 24, 2008 1:37 AM That's a great price for a designer dress, I am too old for it. But you younger people need to get on this....You will wish you did. Posted by: Suzanne at July 24, 2008 6:43 AM no idea where i can where such an awesome dress but im getting it anyway and thinking practical later!!! Posted by: audrey at July 24, 2008 8:02 AM Isn't tulle usually made of nylon? How is this eco-friendly? I don't see anything "green" about this look. Posted by: Emma at July 24, 2008 8:12 AM Isn't the outfit supposed to be 100% eco-friendly? Tulle is made of nylon and if I'm not mistaken, nylon is not an eco-friendly material. It is a man-made material. I thought the challenge was to make an outfit that is 100% eco-friendly. Posted by: Linda at July 24, 2008 8:21 AM That dress is a mess. If any normal person comes walking down the street in that, I don't know if I could stop myself from laughing. They'll look ridiculous. Posted by: Kelly at July 24, 2008 8:25 AM That is one of the ugliest dresses I've ever seen. Period. Not just on Project Runway but ever. As Christian would say...That dress is a HOT MESS! Posted by: Jo at July 24, 2008 8:42 AM This is such a great dress!!! It's perfect for a 14 year old, but it is equally as awesome for someone much older than that! I wish I could get it, if only i had $280 sitting in my piggybank... Posted by: Mary at July 24, 2008 8:48 AM Not the dress I wanted to win. I agree with Kelly, if i saw someone wearing this I would laugh. I hope better dresses from the show will be sold on Bluefly, that's a great idea! Posted by: katherine at July 24, 2008 8:53 AM Love this dress!! I am way to old for it but you younger people need to get it! The Suede pieces are incredible! Posted by: sondra at July 24, 2008 8:57 AM Honestly, I didn't really like it. Normally, I agree with the judges, but not this time. The dress is unique, but it doesn't fit correctly, and doesn't have a cohesive look. It upsets me when something wins and it is crap. I think Jerell's dress was better. Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 9:11 AM The moment I saw this dress I fell in love with it! So I made a request and hopefully I will get the cutest dress ever!!!! Posted by: Izzy at July 24, 2008 9:36 AM I really thought that Kenley's dress should've won. This dress is NOT something I would wear to a cocktail party. However, it would've won if the challenge was something different like "Friday night out". Posted by: Claire at July 24, 2008 9:36 AM OMGSH ! Posted by: Lily at July 24, 2008 9:59 AM I am so excited for one!!!! Posted by: Dani at July 24, 2008 10:08 AM This dress is totally awesome. This dress is only for true fashionistas!! If you dont have true style please DO NOT WEAR!!! I will be getting this!!! Posted by: Christian at July 24, 2008 10:16 AM This dress is horrible! Ack! I had nightmare's after last nights show... Posted by: pixie at July 24, 2008 10:21 AM This dress is truly genius. So pixie, you are soooo wrong so go vete al cajaro!!! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 10:28 AM OMFG!! luv the dres suede is eh-mayy-zing!! & hes a bi witch is soooo more eh-mayy-zing!!....ya all u ppl readin ths r guna thnk im a lil girly but i am not!! Posted by: Hollie at July 24, 2008 10:54 AM that dress is AH-DORABLE Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 11:07 AM How long after emailing do we find out if we get one of the dresses or not? Have any of you heard back? Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 11:12 AM i am just in love with suede's dress, i want it so bad!!! it is so hip!! i'm getting it so STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: soccer girl at July 24, 2008 11:14 AM the judges must have been on something if they chose this is as the wining design. ack Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 11:15 AM I wish I could get this. but i don't have that kind of money sitting around Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 11:16 AM Absurd. She looks like a tuna caught in a fishing net. Seriously, back into the water for you, little fishy. Shoo Shoo. Points for a little imagination and at least a finished look. Points against for the hideous outflow of that skirt and that bloody shark chum color beneath. Texture is in, but haphazard, mummy bandaging is so NOT. Sorry, but this is an overpriced, overhyped strappy rag with an obnoxious poofy poof. Pass. Posted by: Traniemess at July 24, 2008 11:23 AM will somebody please buy this for meee? [: Posted by: elizabeth at July 24, 2008 11:27 AM GORGEOUS! If only I were a size 2 instead of a 6. This would probably look terrible on me! :( Posted by: L at July 24, 2008 11:30 AM I love this dress!!! I do ballet and I like to bring that into my everyday life and I think this dress would definitely do so!! Im not sure where Im going to where it yet but I'll find an occasion!!!! Posted by: ACS at July 24, 2008 11:55 AM Some of the outfits on this show are not going to appeal to everyone. But the judges usually have something in mind of what they think the winning outfit should look like. I think Suede did a good job. Yes there were other dresses that may have looked more appealing but out of all the dresses i think this one is the most orginal. Not many people would have enough courage to wear something like this down the street. Posted by: Amanda at July 24, 2008 12:11 PM OMG I would die to have this dress. It would be sooooooo perfect to where to an 8th grade dance. I WANT IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD! Posted by: Kelly at July 24, 2008 12:16 PM I really liked this dress i thought it was fun and a funky design. It was new and interesting. And i loved the tutu part of it! Posted by: Sarah at July 24, 2008 12:17 PM L- so what if you are a size 6? That is a good, healthy body! You can definitely pull that off. Keep it real and don't give into the idea that only super skinny girls can be fashionable! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 12:17 PM L- so what if you are a size 6? That is a good, healthy body! You can definitely pull that off. Keep it real and don't give into the idea that only super skinny girls can be fashionable! Posted by: Allison at July 24, 2008 12:18 PM OMG i LOVE this dress and would definitely wear!!!! Posted by: Natalie and Lauren at July 24, 2008 12:29 PM OMG Posted by: Lauren and Natalie at July 24, 2008 12:30 PM Yes, a lot of work put into this...but I'm really surprised that the judges didn't say that THIS look resembles a class project. It's messy. Posted by: Bridget at July 24, 2008 12:31 PM FUGLY fugly FUGLY. Posted by: sure at July 24, 2008 12:33 PM Hey everyone who loves this dress and immediately emailed to pre-order, Did anyone hear back yet about getting the dress? Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 12:36 PM We agree with Traniemess. She described this dress perfectly. Basically what we were saying throughout the whole show. Ugly ugly ugly!!! Mummy bandages!! Looks like she got attacked!! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 12:50 PM This dress looks like a frozen pizza. Or masking tape. Awful. Posted by: Sheer Genius at July 24, 2008 12:57 PM thiss dress iss ahhdorablee!! lovee it..justt wishh i hadd $280 and a placee to wearr it. <3 Posted by: Kaylaaaa at July 24, 2008 1:04 PM thiss dress iss ahhdorablee!! lovee it..justt wishh i hadd $280 and a placee to wearr it. <3 Posted by: Kaylaaaa at July 24, 2008 1:04 PM Just for the record, not everyone who is a size 2 is anorexic. While a size 6 is perfectly healthy and beautiful, it also possible to be a size 2 and still be healthy and beautiful. People need to stop putting themselves AND others down. Just accept that everyone comes in different sizes, and as long as we are being healthy, we should be happy with who we naturally are. Seriously though, when do we hear back about whether or not we get the dress :)??? Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 1:12 PM Haters need to go away. obviously this dress wouldn't have been chosen if the aesthetic and technical abilities weren't up to par. I don't know if you often shop outside of k-mart, but it is resonably priced when compared to other one-of-a-kind dresses. Posted by: Jenna at July 24, 2008 1:21 PM emily. i emailed them a while ago too. I haven't heard anything. I'm keeping my email up so I will know when they do! hopefully it's soon!!! i wish i could have my new dress for this weekend. i'm trying to think... what shoes would go perfect with this dress??? anyone have an suggestions :-) so excited!! can't wait Posted by: jamie at July 24, 2008 1:36 PM omg i have to have this dress or else it is the end of the world it is so awsome. I GOTTA HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: neena at July 24, 2008 1:48 PM jamie...i'm thinking red satin anything. ballet flats, heels...pretty much anything in red satin would be awesome. yayyyy Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 1:49 PM Jamie -- the dress is such a statement I'd go with pale pink or champagne satin shoes, or really light gold or silver shoes -- nothing to take anything away from the piece. I'd also do no jewelry (like the model). Posted by: LA Fashionista at July 24, 2008 2:00 PM i thought suede's dress was really innovative and it looks really fun and flirty for a cocktail dress. way to go! Posted by: krist at July 24, 2008 2:00 PM I ordered the dress last night and got a reply within 10 minutes. Nana's got my measurements and has confirmed the order. Since they are making them to size each order I think it will be at least a week to get it. Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 2:02 PM I wanted that fabulous 40s-inspired dress (Kendall, was it?) made from the very same material to win -- now THAT was elegant and worth reproducing! Posted by: LooLoo at July 24, 2008 2:04 PM Aaaack! Anyone else already get confirmation? Posted by: LA Fashionista at July 24, 2008 2:05 PM So I emailed this morning and haven't gotten a reply.....damn does that mean that I didn't email in time? :( Sad. I really want that dress. Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 2:10 PM Thanks for this idea on shoes. I definitely agree with the no jewelry! Emily, hopefully when they have surpassed the 150 they would change the blog to say that the dress is no longer available! i'm keeping my fingers crossed for us!!! :-) Posted by: Jamie at July 24, 2008 2:13 PM I have some champagne colored satin strappy sandals that will look perfect with this dress. If I had red satin shoes I think it would look even better. Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 2:14 PM Jaime...when did you email? Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 2:15 PM Now that I think about it, I'm sure there were way more than 150 people who instantly emailed like the second it was posted.....so I'm gonna try not to get my hopes up. But maybe they'll decide to make more... Posted by: Emily at July 24, 2008 2:18 PM i'm a size two and i love chocolate!! but that's not the point... Kenley or Terry should have won this challenge. Their dresses were definitely cocktail (Suade's is not!) and more than that, they were cute!! I loved both! Suade's was near the bottom of my list. But that is what makes fashion fun - it's debatable! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 2:31 PM this dress is cutee Posted by: bo at July 24, 2008 2:35 PM I hate Suade's dress....I would never wear this dress to a cocktail party. Kenley should have won this challenge. Posted by: Gloria Thomas at July 24, 2008 2:55 PM I emailed this morning and haven't gotten anything back yet, I hope they decide to make more!! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 3:04 PM I love the dress, but I don't think it should be priced at $280. The whole point of making it was to target the younger crowd. Being a college student definitely doesn't allow me to spend that much money on one dress. Posted by: Amy at July 24, 2008 3:08 PM This is kind of cute, not the best looking dress. But, it's okay! Did anyone notice they only spent $75 on materials, yet Blue Fly is charging $280 for a reproduction of the dress? Does that make sense? Posted by: Alayna at July 24, 2008 3:10 PM im a size 10 and im gonna rock that dress for my 30th birthday if i can get one. models dont get all the fun!!!! Posted by: Christina at July 24, 2008 3:12 PM Hey all...I emailed this morning and no reply! Did anyone else receive a confirmation? Keep us updated people!!! How many people emailed last night and how many this morning? Posted by: Julie at July 24, 2008 3:27 PM I just e-mailed and i am hoping i get a conformation! this is such a fierce dress and i would LOVE to wear this to my homecoming and make all the other girls jealous :) . Here comes the incoming freshman baby. Posted by: Kayla at July 24, 2008 3:41 PM Alayna, Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 3:47 PM Alayna, Posted by: Zelle at July 24, 2008 3:49 PM I attend many events and cocktail parties and if I showed up in that dress, my professional and social reputation would be in irreparable tatters. Bluefly and PR didn't think this through. If Kenley's design was selected, I would have purchased it for more money. If you come around and decide to sell the true cocktail option (Kenley's), please email me and I will gladly purchase. Posted by: Sarah at July 24, 2008 3:54 PM OMG! i would totally love to wear this to Homecoming this year!! maybe my dad will take pity on me and help me out a bit!! its actually not a bad price...hmmmm maybe.. Posted by: kim at July 24, 2008 4:02 PM Ok......so it's a little frustrating because I have no idea if I am one of the people getting this dress or not. I have had no reply, but the the link to sign up for a dress is still up. it sounds like a few of you are frustrated by this also. is there any way to find out if we get a dress or not? Posted by: Liz at July 24, 2008 4:08 PM Just heard from Bluefly about order details. I did get a confirmation e-mail and have had several exchanges with Nana today. It appears that Suede is working directly with the production of the dresses (probably why there are so few being made) and people with confirmed orders will be hearing from Bluefly Customer Service today or tomorrow. No word on if there will be more produced or if they will get back in touch with people who got their e-mails in too late. Hope this info in useful! Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 4:15 PM HI PR FANS! Posted by: Sandy at July 24, 2008 4:17 PM Fugliest dress I've ever seen in my life. It doesn't surprise me that the people commenting with interest in the dress all seem to be 13 and under. The model looks like she was attacked by five-year-olds at a clown party. Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 4:34 PM I am so in love with this dress. It's the most beautiful piece of art i have ever seen!!! Anyone who thinks this dress is ugly can suck it! I would never take this dress off if i had it and I would even wear it to my senior prom. I'm hoping to get it, I have half the money right now and begging for the rest as a early b-day presant. AHHHHH I LOVE PROJECT RUNWAY AND THIS DRESS!! Posted by: Kae at July 24, 2008 4:51 PM Just chatted with a Bluefly rep about my email (I emailed this morning at 7:30) and she stated that I would receive some sort of confirmation within a week or maybe less informing me if I "made the list," so to speak. Hope this helps. Posted by: Heather at July 24, 2008 5:01 PM give me a break you are all fashion lambs! Posted by: whatever! at July 24, 2008 5:02 PM Whatever, Posted by: Fashion Lamb at July 24, 2008 5:38 PM this is for jamie: red strappy shoes or some high peep toes (the color of the stripes on the dress) would look really good with this totally chic creation! Posted by: Nat at July 24, 2008 5:47 PM I love the dress. Wish I had the money to buy one. Posted by: zora at July 24, 2008 6:18 PM hi guys, i emailed for this dress and am getting one. nana is totally awesome and has been easy for me to get in touch with. yes the dress is definitely unique. for those of you who think it is ugly, i don't believe it is. i do think that not anyone can pull this type of dress off. but if one can, then it's a definite must buy. i also think natalie portman would wear a dress like it on the red carpet. it is wild, it is colorful, it definitely looks good on a long-legged size 2 girl. should we be upset with this? no, and i'd hope that me being a size 2 and wearing this, that no one would laugh at me. it's a beautiful dress for a beautiful girl. don't hate. and nana is awesome. she'll respond. she's an incredible bluefly associate. i have been very pleased with her communication with me. Posted by: audrey at July 24, 2008 6:39 PM thank you so much everyone for the idea on shoes!! i definitely have some great ideas as to how i'm going to wear it. Now i just have to wait for a conformation email!!! keep your fingers crossed for me as well as everyone else who's waiting. emily have you heard anything?? Posted by: Jamie at July 24, 2008 6:41 PM I made the original comment for L to stay strong at a size 6. I did not post any haterade on thin women. I simply wanted to remind that lady that any size can be fashionable. Women shouldn't feel down on themselves if they are not a size 2. I'm a size 4 now, been down to a 0 when I was an athlete, went up to a 10 when I was in college. I felt so much pressure to be thin again (even though I wasn't working out like I used to) that I had developed some serious problems. So, if people misinterpreted my remarks I am sorry. I just want women to not fall into a trap of negative self worth if they cannot fit into the smallest size on the rack. That's all. Posted by: Allison at July 24, 2008 6:54 PM I'm curious - Isn't tulle usually made of nylon? How is this eco-friendly - or is it made of a special type of tulle? Please reply. Thanks! Posted by: Sara at July 24, 2008 6:57 PM Sara, the challenge was about choosing "green fabrics" so everything had to be organic and natural on the dress. Posted by: Jamie at July 24, 2008 6:59 PM i dont get it. like, i liked the way he worked with the fabric and did something different, but still, i just can't see anyone wearing it unless they're walking down the red carpet. good job suede, but, i think that you could have been a LITTLE more classic. Posted by: emma at July 24, 2008 8:43 PM me again, i just wanted to add something, people need to remember that this is more high fashion, so for high fashion, the price is ok. i know that this isnt really for christian, but i really wasnt blown away by christian new collection. i loved him from the start, but i think, wait, i KNOW that he can do even better. good luck to every1 who wants that dress, if the stripes had been more ordered i would have forgot the fact that that its more then my life savings and bought it anyway. even though im not sure it comes in a size that would fit me due to the fact that im 12. good luck everyone and keep me posted! Posted by: emma at July 24, 2008 9:09 PM I agree w/ PR gayboys looks like a ballerina who sploshed pizza all over her. Posted by: nicole at July 24, 2008 9:13 PM HA! Too old? Too young? Size6? Hot, fun and sweet - you'll never see THIS at the mall. I'm totally on it. Posted by: Tina at July 24, 2008 9:40 PM I got the conformation!!!! Thank you SO MUCH Bluefly i love you! (and Suede for being the best designer EVER) now i can look hot for my homecoming :) Posted by: Kayla at July 24, 2008 9:46 PM man,,i wish i had $280 laying around. Posted by: Ashlee at July 24, 2008 9:56 PM When I saw Suede's dress, I thought, "There is no way he'll win this challenge. Bottom three, guaranteed." But nooo, he was the winner! Ick. I think the dress he made is so ugly & I can't imagine why anyone would wear it. I usually agree with the judges at least a little bit, but now I think they've lost their minds. Agreeing with Kelly, "I don't know if I could stop myself from laughing. They'll look ridiculous." HOTMESSRIGHTTHEREEEE. Posted by: Mandy at July 24, 2008 10:02 PM this dress is what freddy kruger and a ballerina got into a fight would look like...april thinks suede's dress is fugly. Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 11:28 PM I was totally astounded that this dress won, frankly. I think that anyone curvier or with medium-colored skin (ex: olive skin) would have such a hard time wearing this cut and colour respectively. The cut does not create a waist OR curves, really; rather it creates the illusion of hips. Personally, I know a lot of trendy girls--and all of them said they'd never buy or wear this. Especially not for $280. It's just not a very universally appealing or wearable dress. Posted by: gemma at July 24, 2008 11:34 PM Hello! I DVRed Project Runway and ended up watching it tonight.. I was searching for the link and JUST found it. I'm hoping I wasn't too late. :( If someone is a size 0 or 2 and ordered the dress and no longer wants it... I will totally buy it from you!!! Posted by: Kate at July 24, 2008 11:46 PM I am so happy Suede won this challenge! This really was the most innovative idea! Posted by: bethie820 at July 24, 2008 11:47 PM this dress is as christian would say, "Fierce" Posted by: Anonymous at July 24, 2008 11:51 PM This dress is a hot mess!!!! The straps have no method...just madness, and are you kidding with the ballerinal tulle underneath? EEEWWWWW! It looks like your grandmothers attempt at your recital outfit and she didn't get it quite right! Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 12:18 AM Frankly, I love it. It is just the sort of thing that I could dress up with heels and a sash or dress down with combat boots and a courderoy. But then again, I don't think I'm your typical Bluefly demographic. And I must disagree with the post I saw above. I'm not the world's tiniest person and I have a very square build; snug fit drop waist lines that ride over a flared skirt will highten many bodytypes. Also - as someone with a rather medium gold to olive complexion - nuetrals, creams, and reds are very flattering on me. Now I just need to figure out how I convince my husband to give me the money to buy the dress. Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 1:58 AM hey girls, and allison. i did not read all the comments on the blog but rather skimmed them so i did not mean everyone must who hates the dress was a savage jealous person. no worries! i have the body of a square petite size 2 block. im hoping the dress looks nice on me. i still want to buy it even though it may not be suitable in public...i won't be able to tell until i actually put it on. regardless, the price is high to a normal person. however, when they used to auction the PR clothes from old episodes, the prices were so astounding i had no shot at buying one of the PR clothes. in other words, this is a steal compared to when they open-auctioned the designers clothes after the show. Posted by: audrey at July 25, 2008 6:54 AM This dress is the most fugly looking thing i ever seen. Enough said. Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 8:30 AM Suede can play as the psycho clown in the movie "IT" (based on the book by Stephen King) in that dress. Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 8:34 AM EMILY!! have you heard anything yet???? looking at the "chat log" for this blog, I sent my request in a couple of hours before kayla, and I still haven't heard anything. *Starting to freak out a little* Posted by: jamie at July 25, 2008 9:49 AM that dress is a hot mess. i cannot believe the contestants this season, they all are so lazy an not very innovative. so what if he criss crossed fabric? ugh. Posted by: sarah at July 25, 2008 10:04 AM This dress is really cute! Posted by: Eli at July 25, 2008 10:51 AM Jamie- I'm still not sure!!! I had emailed really early in the morning, what time did you email? Regardless, there are 150 of these going out, I'm sure a couple will be floating around that we can get our hands on if we don't get the actual dress Posted by: Emily at July 25, 2008 11:15 AM OK.....for all the lucky ladies who are getting a dress...I think it's time we brainstorm ideas of where we can wear this thing!!! Here's my list so far: - art gallery exhibit opening any other ideas??? Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 11:18 AM Emily!! I just got mine. I sent my first one in around noon yesterday!! :-) Posted by: Jamie at July 25, 2008 11:24 AM Anonymous... I'm not sure where you live, however where I live we have a bunch of clubs and upscale bars that are really exclusive and have strict dress codes. My boyfriend and I go to them all the time with our friends. This dress would be perfect for places like that too!!! Posted by: Jamie at July 25, 2008 11:27 AM I ordered as soon I saw the end of the episode in CA-so maybe 12:55A EST- and have gotten word that I am "on the list" and that production details are still being worked out. There's still only the first dress made. So, maybe some of the clients who did get on the list will change their minds while they wait. Or, you may want to check online auctions after they come out (although I bet some people will be crazy and drive up the price). I, for one, agree with Audrey. This is PR history and since I can't afford to even think about bidding on originals I'll take what I can get. $280 is a lot for me, but I don't think opportunities like this will come around often. Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 11:28 AM Hey all, so I was confirmed yesterday as "on the list" but all I've received is an email telling me to send my 0-14 size to someone, and that they'll get back to me soon about sizing.....is that what everyone else got? Posted by: PROBSESSED at July 25, 2008 11:33 AM Jaime...do you have an AIM or gmail or somethin cuz I want to talk to you not through this craziness! Let me know :) Posted by: Emily at July 25, 2008 11:35 AM i got an e-mail asking for actual chest, bust, waist, hip, collar to waist, collar to hips, shoulder to shoulder measurements. AND, how long i actually want the dress to be. not sure if they are going to design them to fit each of us individuals or simply make it ready to wear sizes but if they do design them to fit our actual measurements than $280 is a steal! Posted by: audrey at July 25, 2008 11:39 AM Emily. i have aim as well as facebook chat. what's your screen name? and i got the email that said I am on the list and what my dress size was between size 0-14 as well! Posted by: jamie at July 25, 2008 11:49 AM I actually think that they will be made for each client. I got a request from Nana for all the specific measurements, and noted how I am very short and don't want to need a tailor. Then I sent my info to another lady in the dept. Glad to see that some more of the PR fans are getting the dresses, too! Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 12:03 PM LOVE it! I'd buy it in one second. The design is so young and fun! Way to go Suede! Posted by: Anonymous at July 25, 2008 12:13 PM I wanted this one to win! I would buy it in a heartbeat! The design is so young and fun! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Way to go Suede! Posted by: Stephanie at July 25, 2008 12:15 PM I love this dress!! I must have one!! Lauren Posted by: Lauren at July 25, 2008 12:39 PM Having absolutely no self-control, I called Bluefly and I was told that one round of confirmations was sent out yesterday and another round will be sent out today. The bluefly reps don't have the list, but if you really can't control yourself, you can email Sandra Sahn at Corporate. I sent my email requesting the dress before 9 PST yesterday, and I see that someone who sent their email at noon yesterday got a confirmation. Regardless of whether it was noon EST or PST, I got my email in before, so my fingers are crossed that I'm getting a dress (and I'm checking my spam filter!) Posted by: LA Fashionista at July 25, 2008 12:52 PM I love that dress, but 280 dollars, you must think I'm some japanese rich kid. Totally Lolita by the way, speaking of japanese. Suede should totally look up the Gothic Lolita Bilbe. The the jundge off P.R would probably hate it Posted by: skylier at July 25, 2008 3:03 PM $280 for frozen pizza. wow! Posted by: theemporerisnaked at July 25, 2008 3:27 PM $280 for frozen pizza. wow! Posted by: theemporerisnaked at July 25, 2008 3:27 PM WAH, 150 dresses isn't enough, can't you bump it up to 250? Posted by: Fasshonaburu at July 25, 2008 3:51 PM LA FASIONISTA... i think you're talking about me, after I hadn't heard anything for a while I emailed Sandra Sahn and she told me, I was on the list but they had my email wrong in the system! Try emailing her maybe they had your email incorret too! best of luck! Posted by: Jamie at July 25, 2008 4:04 PM Jamie.....I'm not too keen on putting my info onto this blog thing......but I am on the list! and want to discuss our fabulousness. Any way to get in touch? Posted by: Emily at July 25, 2008 4:37 PM I think that this dress is definitly not a cocktail dress. I would love to have this dress but where would I wear to school on the first day!? If it was something more normal I would definitly buy it. Posted by: Anonymous 31 at July 25, 2008 5:40 PM Jaime- so if you get the e-mail that says all that other stuff and then asks for your size 0-14 "so they can get the ball rolling for you" that means your on the list right? Posted by: Kayla at July 25, 2008 6:01 PM THAT IZ DA MOST HIDEIOUS DRESS I EVA SAW IT LOOKS LIKE A DRUNK BALLERINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: sexy llama at July 25, 2008 9:42 PM This dress is absolutely hideous! It was not made well... it doesn't even fit the model right and it looks like a ballerina on crack. This is the most ridiculous looking dress i have ever seen and i can't believe it won. It is an abomination to the show and to the entire fashion industry. Anyone who would actually buy this must be blind Posted by: Brittney at July 25, 2008 10:06 PM That's $42000 worth of dresses. Does the designer get any percentage of that? Posted by: April at July 25, 2008 10:36 PM Ugly dress!!! Posted by: Terri at July 26, 2008 8:07 AM Way to go baby bro!!! We love the dress! Keep up the great work! Posted by: D - n - A at July 26, 2008 12:24 PM Whoa! When I saw the last episode (when Suede wins) I KNEW it was going to win! It was adorable! And, If I had 280$, I would DEFINITELY buy one! (DARN! I wish I had 280$!!) Posted by: Hinata at July 26, 2008 6:07 PM Can this dress still be ordered? I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!PLEASE tell me how????!! Posted by: tammy at July 26, 2008 9:11 PM HUH? is it sold out? what?????? Posted by: jackie at July 26, 2008 9:24 PM that dress is amazing Posted by: fran at July 27, 2008 12:54 AM Ugly dress but someone under 18 with guts could wear it and carry it off. Lots of clothes are like that. It often depends on the person wearing it. My daughter in law is a size zero and she had TWINS in February. NO she is not anorexic. Her family is small boned. She eats a lot and nurses the twins. Some people are just lucky. Posted by: Janet Hoenig at July 27, 2008 8:04 AM YES!!!!!!! my mom got it a while ago, which means... I GET IT!!!!! we is the same size so we share. feel bad 4 all u suckers who can't wear the dress!! I LUV IT! Posted by: Anonymous at July 27, 2008 5:16 PM Ugly. Don't like it. I am the person who was annonymous above and talk about how she looked like she was attacked and mummy bandages and freaking out b/c of a chocloate bar. That was me and my friend commenting. I don't know where you would ever wear that, I would be rolling on the floor laughing if I EVER saw one of you crazy people wearing that scrap fabric dress!! I liked that one dress with the huge poofy collar before the collar was put on. This dress is ugly!! Posted by: Kelsie at July 27, 2008 10:06 PM i love this dress and it sucks that they are gone it would have really made my homecoming Posted by: erica at July 27, 2008 11:16 PM I DVR'd Project Runway and just saw Suede's amazing dress that one. I would totally order this dress if they were still taking orders. I'm so bummed. Posted by: Mazel at July 27, 2008 11:52 PM I personally think the thing is UGLY. My daughters, 15 and 13 loved it. Either way, there are other things to spend that kind of money on. Posted by: Julie at July 28, 2008 12:30 AM Hey has anyone who made it onto the list heard anything since that first email? I'm getting nervous that I won't get the dress in time for my dance! Posted by: Julia at July 28, 2008 11:11 AM Did anyone who got on the list hear back from them since that first email? I'm worried they forgot about me! Posted by: Julia at July 28, 2008 11:17 AM THERE WERE AT LEAST 3 OTHER DESIGNS THAT WERE MORE STRIKING!!!!!!!! THE ONE THAT WON, MADE ME THINK OF SOME-ONE THAT IS ON THE VERGE OF INSANITY..MAD MAD MAD....LOOKED LIKE BLOOD STAINS....OOOOOOOO Posted by: NOT CRAZY!!!!! at July 28, 2008 11:29 AM JULIA!!!!- I havent heard anything since the first e-mail either. Other people are getting the e-mail where you give them all your sizes so i'm thinking that they forgot about us :( . What were you planning on wearing the dress too? Posted by: Kayla at July 28, 2008 11:43 AM JULIA!!!!!!!- I havent heard anything since the first e-mail either when i sent them my size. And everyone else has gotten e-mails to give them all their other sizes. So i'm thinking they forgot about us :( . Maybe it just wasnt meant to beee. What were you planning on wearing your dress for? Posted by: Kayla at July 28, 2008 11:46 AM I'm wearing it to a dance.....who did you hear from that got that other email? Is there another blog? Posted by: Julia at July 28, 2008 1:28 PM Gosh! I wish I had that kinda money to spend on a dress! It is the most gorgeous dress I've ever seen!!! Posted by: Harlee at July 28, 2008 2:42 PM I am dying to have this dress. I love it! I can't believe I already missed the boat and its sold out. If anyone buys it and decides they don't want it let me know. Posted by: Jessica at July 28, 2008 9:02 PM This dress is interesting and it looked like it was going to turn out to a complete disaster at first but then I completely fell in love with it! ( But seriously suede needs to stop talking in third person because it is toataly getting on my nerves.) Posted by: Audrey at July 28, 2008 9:45 PM For all of you people that are complaining that it isn't 100% eco-friendly fabric because of the Nylon then you might want to take into consideration that the designers did not pick out the fabrics in this challenge their models where the ones that choose the fabric and most of the models had no clue about picking out fabrics and what is eco-friendly and what isn't, etc. This is an awesome dress, if only I just happened to have 280$ laying around the house haha :P Posted by: Cecilia at July 29, 2008 12:33 PM If you want to criticize the dress for bordering on "insanity" you might want to turn off the damn caps lock on your keyboard you whack-job. As for the dress, not my cup of tea but points for bravado and ingenuity. Posted by: Lychan at July 29, 2008 1:38 PM love the dress you will win????? Posted by: lost57 at July 29, 2008 1:39 PM love the dress can see the stars wearing it Posted by: lost57 at July 29, 2008 1:41 PM how do i buy this dress i really want to get it for my eighteen year old sister i know she would LOVE it! and it would look AMAZING on her Posted by: sophie at July 29, 2008 2:15 PM I LOVE this dress... If only I could think of an occasion to wear it and had that kind of money laying around... But I don't. And they're all gone now anyway. Still... amazing. Posted by: Anonymous at July 29, 2008 9:56 PM i loooooove this dress....i wish i could by it ): Posted by: Anonymous at July 29, 2008 10:57 PM Your surroundings shiver, ready to shatter inwards, the leaves on the branches of the trees in your sight melt like the slippery, tangled insides of a cassette tape: does G-d exist? do we have a rational mind? I do not have money for food. Posted by: N. Pemberton at July 30, 2008 12:29 AM WHYYYYYY..??? ONLY 150 ???? COME ON ...... MAKE MORE .... PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE TO HAVE THAT DRESS !!!!!!!!!! its one of my favorites from Alllll The seasons.... aside from Austin Scarlet's work !!! and a few others.... you should SERIOUSLY consider selling more designs.... love the show !!!! CARRY ON.... KEEP MAKING IT WORK !!!! Posted by: Alina at July 30, 2008 12:39 AM OMG! Melisa loves Suede's dress. Melisa wishes she could buy it and wear it to homecoming. Posted by: Melisa at July 30, 2008 2:38 PM PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE MORE Posted by: Anonymous at July 30, 2008 6:27 PM Well Kelly at July 24, 2008 8:25 AM, Posted by: Tamie at July 30, 2008 6:31 PM Suede's dress is genious, it's just so amazing. I love it, i need it. Posted by: Giselle at July 30, 2008 7:16 PM the fact that there are only 150 is BULLSHIT. Posted by: oci at July 30, 2008 9:01 PM this dress is hideous. and is the skirt even eco friendly? I have a feeling it really isn't. I think the designer who designed the lovely navy dress got screwed in this round, hers was much more chic and wearable at both work and out on the town. Posted by: jacky at July 30, 2008 9:01 PM Livy luvs Suede as a designer. Livy thinks Suede should win. Though, Livy is sad that she does not have that kind of money to blow, so Livy can't get the dress. Livy wishes she could have that dress. But Livy can't. Livy has to move on, AND STOP TALKING IN 3RD PERSON LIKE SUEDE!!! Posted by: Livy at July 30, 2008 9:07 PM Also, notice how the majority of posters who like the dress are in 8th grade. First off, its cut is not meant for 13 year olds to be walking around in. Second, how many little kids have a sophisticated, mature sense of style? It is a hideous mess, and if I wore it anywhere I would be the laughing stock of the night. Man I miss Australian fashion designers, Suede should research them, because they are able to be unique but still tasteful, like say Gasp Emanuella, Bardot, Review, etc etc. Posted by: Jacky at July 30, 2008 9:08 PM Are you kidding me?!?! You couldn't pay me to wear that!! I'd have picked Kenley's. I'm so sorry to those of you who payed for that!! Posted by: Anonymous at July 30, 2008 11:10 PM Suede's customer would like suede to make some more dresses. Posted by: Debbie Spicer at July 30, 2008 11:54 PM My heart is broken. Posted by: Debbie Spicer at July 31, 2008 12:11 AM I keep seeing all these comments about the Tulle being non green, but tulle can be made of rayon (made from wood pulp) and silk, I think I have even seen it in cotton; tulle can be eco friendly. however this is not the dress I wanted to win, and the back doesn't fit! i cringe at this dress. though the concept was great. Posted by: Anonymous at July 31, 2008 1:28 AM JULIA- well if you look at all the comments in the blog you would see the comments that says how they have gotten the e-mail for the bust size and everythingg. i was going to wear it to my homecoming but i decided on another dress cause i was over how i wasnt getting anything back. have you heard anything? Posted by: Kayla at July 31, 2008 2:51 AM I can't BELIEVE I missed this they must stop showing reruns it gets your hopes up WAY too high I really thought I could get it they MUST must MUST make more I would wear this to work just to piss off my boss I'm so mad I missed out. Half my town would chip in so they can mass produce that sweet thing. Mollie ^.^g P.S. Posted by: Tory Cheney at August 6, 2008 8:08 PM This dress is unique but not the point of the challenge. I would never wear to this to a cocktail party. I hate when one guess judge says they like something, and the rest of them just agree. I don't know anyone who would wear to this out in public. Posted by: Reeya at August 7, 2008 3:25 PM OMG!!!! i love this dress i wish you would of made more lol i would love to wear it it is so awsome!!!!!! Posted by: Kelsey at August 14, 2008 5:40 PM I think the dress is sweet. I really loved the slight use of red, the random lines, and just a slight poof in the skirt. It was an intelligent design. Not that there weren't others just as beautiful but this one fit my fancy. I wish I had cable so that I could have been on the purchasing bandwagon for this one. Posted by: Anonymous at August 15, 2008 6:31 PM I really liked this dress, but i don't think i have the legs to ever pull it off (sad). I'd love to see this dress on a "real" person, anyone willing to post a picture or webstie so we can see how it works in real life??? thanks! If I had a grl I'd def get that dress for her. n yeah I'm a guy Posted by: Ty at August 20, 2008 9:07 PM I think this dress is just awful, and it should not have won. No normal person would wear that dress out in public more than once unless they were walking down a catwalk. Posted by: Jacquie at August 21, 2008 4:49 PM I love your dress!!!!!!!! And i think it was very nice that his family commented on the dress, it was very original, and creative. I like how it's kind of like a weaved/random. It brought out a hint of his personality, and it was still eligent. Posted by: Erica S at September 1, 2008 5:38 PM Suede's dress rocked! It's amazing how they sold it out the first day.
