Are you ready for his closet to be bigger than yours? According to AP, while Recessionistas cut back on their have-to-haves this past year, guys have been stocking up -- particularly on the slimming silhouettes inspired by Thom Browne's body-conscious suits, and the more fitted fashions of AMC's '60s-nostalgic series, Mad Men. Even though womenswear brought in 65% of the $155 billion adult apparel pie -- we know, that's a really, really big pie... -- it's the first time menswear sales have outpaced women's. It'll be interesting to see how this trend affects the closet dynamic of couples across the country. Maybe in the SATC sequel, Big will build himself a closet to match Carrie's. It'd be kinda interesting to see what kind of pun Carrie would create around her and Big cleaning out their closets.
