Fashion Flashback: Pegged Jeans

by Laura at August 5, 2008, 1:06 AM

katie-holmes-pegged-pants-blueflys-blog-flypaper.jpgKatie Holmes is taking us back -- waaay back -- to the glory days of pegged jeans. While I don't particularly mind the return of boyfriend jeans, that little tuck-and-roll at the ankle is a step too far. Is Mrs. Cruise trying to start a trend. Let's hope not!

Comments

This morning I was thinking of doing the whole tuck-and-roll and then decided to let my pant legs flap. (I didn't know that it was called 'pegged jeans' -- something new.) Overall, doesn't look bad on Katie Holmes but doesn't look great either. -- cheers

oy i hope she isn't trying to start a trend

some fashion should just stay in the past

Crazy Question of the Day: But what if someone had super huge ankles?
lol
should they still rock this look?

Yikes- E News said this was just for her new role- I hope they're right. I'm not sure I want to return to those days.

oh dear Lord, let it go, let it go!! Please don't make me feel that old, that what I once wore to school is "hot" again!! I remember my Cosmetology teachers in Vo- Tech writing us up for pegging our uniform pants...the only thing I miss about 80's style is the clean lines that well- fitting jeans made on guys, the baggy "is- there-a-butt-under-there?" style never did turn me on...
