The Bruni Effect

Carla Bruni_bluefly_2.jpgBoy, some girls have it all: looks, brains, money, political power - and a Vanity Fair cover to promote their latest CD. Carla Bruni's third record Comme si de rien n'était ("As If Nothing Happened") is not really my cup of Chardonnay (too soppy) but it's hit #1 on the French album charts and the critics are calling it "the best album ever made by the wife of a head of state," which can only help French President Nicolas Sarkozy's dismal approval rating. Maybe the former fashion model (who's rating is currently soaring at +60%) should update his look and take him on tour with her.
