Gossip Girl: Pride Comes Before the Fall '08 Fashion

They may not serve humble pie in the Constance Billard School cafeteria, but our favorite "Gossip"s were certainly willing to submit to fashion. Every major fall '08 trend was represented tonight as Jenny, egged on by new model-friend, Agnes, quit the job she quit school for -- wearing the season's smoky kohl-rimmed eyes with a leather biker jacket, plaid minidress, floppy knit beret, and layers of necklaces and bracelets. In real life, mouthing off to your designer boss after she keeps you on for criticizing her designs and after your dress makes its way into her collection, would prolly be a career-ender, but in "Gossip" World, it's just another opportunity to look fierce, which brings me to Blair.
Still staunch about not saying "I love you" to the guy she, um, loves, Blair worked through her feelings for Chuck as she worked it in jewel tones, rocking Skittles' best flavors -- a feisty contrast to Serena's side-walk grays, asphalt blacks, and brownstone browns.
Humility didn't look too shabby either. Serena caught the eye of artist, Aaron Rose at a gallery opening she went to with Dan (they're JUST friends now ;-) ), but didn't act on the attraction to spare Dan's feelings. Nate put the pride aside and agreed to move in with the Humphreys. Now that he's broker than Jenny, maybe they have a chance?
