There's a difference between a suit and a campaign suit, and after 16 months of interviewing to be America's top executive, Barack Obama and John McCain know exactly what that difference is.
Jacket open and sans tie, or buttoned up with striking print tie, the campaign suit has to exude power and confidence without coming off as intimidating and cocky. As a matter of practicality, it has to roll off a tour bus or a private jet with nary a rumple, and transition comfortably from stump speech in balmy Florida to union rally in Michigan -- all while stain guarding against burger grease from all those McDonald's photo ops and absorbing drool (lotsa babies at those campaign rallies). But mostly it's got to make the man wearing it look and feel like a winner. Speaking of, who do you think wins this week's fashion poll? Vote now.
