If the fashion gossip rumors are correct it appears that L.A. Fashion Week may have finally been put to sleep (I'm not mad). The viability of a Los Angeles Fashion Week was again brought into question when IMG announced that it was pulling out of its 5 year-old partnership with Smashbox Studios to produce the event.
Critics are not surprised since there were no recognizable designers on this season's calendar. Davis Factor who co-owns Smashbox Cosmetics along with his brother Dean, when asked if the event will continue was quoted as saying, "Honestly, I just don't know... It's too soon to tell."
Now if they only would get rid of Baltimore's Fashion Week. Come on, Baltimore!?
“It's any designer's dream come true to have a store on a main street, whether it's here, in Paris on Faubourg or Avenue Montaigne, or on London's Bond Street.”
