In my neverending pursuit of flattering straight-skirts and dresses, I've been even more inspired lately by Kate Winslet's gorgeous mid-1950's wardrobe in the forthcoming film, "Revolutionary Road." Always on the lookout for modern looks inspired by this, my favorite era of fashion, I was thrilled to discover this Lucky Shops exclusive Olivia 'Maya' high waisted pencil skirt in black, which is exactly the color I need for holiday dresswear this year. I'm not thrilled with much of what's out there today, but I'm happy that the classics are alive and well.
