At last night's Golden Globes, the guys did not stand blandly by their wives, or female castmates. From Jeremy Piven and Diddy's oversized rings, to Zachary Quinto's skinny tie to Marc Anthony's patent shoes, the men used bold accessories to make a statement -- whether we liked it or not, Mickey Rourke.
Diddy and Jeremy Piven both rocked jumbo rings with otherwise classic cut suits.

The guys who wanted to be different went with skinny or colored ties. Entourage's Adrian Grenier and Zachary Quinto (pictured here) who will play Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie both sported skinnies while Denis Leary (pictured) went for color and Don Cheadle went for ebony and ivory stripes. We like this double pinstriped tie by Zegna. But while we're on the subject of Zachary Quinto, we really appreciated his peek of pocket square. Much preferred to the flowy alternative many of the guys on the carpet wore that makes me think they're about to pull it out into an endless line of silk a la that classic magician's trick.
Marc Anthony and Mickey Rourke went with non-traditional shoes. The patent and shoes Marc is wearing takes the class factor down in his otherwise classic tux, and the velvet loafers on Mickey's feet do nothing to pull his outfit together into a cohesive fashion statement. When in doubt, guys, go with a classic, classy oxford.
