Now we have a little more insight into why Michelle Obama chose Isabel Toledo's irridiscent brocade design and Jason Wu's crystal-studded dress on Inauguration Day. According to the New York Times, the designers who submitted inauguration dress designs for the First Lady's consideration were given only this instruction: 'It has to sparkle.'
