Michelle Obama chose a classic, maxi-length black dress from quintessential American designer, Michael Kors -- accented with a double strand string of pearls and pearl studs -- for her official First Lady portrait, and she looks amazing. Part of me wishes she had included one Michelle-ism (a brooch, stack of bangles, or drop earrings), just so future generations could get more of a glimpse of her personal style, but with every fashion choice of hers being documented, that won't be a problem. Besides, maybe she's got on a pair of her signature patent flats or kitten heels.
