I was a little shocked last week when my favorite American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, made two train-wreck appearances in almost as many days (first on Idol then Saturday Night Live). Her singing was great. Better than ever, actually. And no, it wasn't her much more, um, ample posterior. It was Clarkson's tight, terribly unflattering getups that made me wince. Come on! You don't need to be a six-foot twig to look good on-stage. Clarkson would have looked ravishing in this flouncy, feminine black dress by Nanette Lepore. Keep it simple, sexy, and clean. OK? An "Idol" deserves -- heck we all do -- to look her hot curvy best.
