It seems the intense interest in Michelle Obama's fashion choices (along with the intense public interest in her, period) are strengthening the First Lady's posing skills -- and giving Getty's news photogs the chance to experiment with beauty and fashion photography. When the First Lady wore a dress with a satin bow detail at the collar, photographer, Win McNamee went in for a detail shot not unlike one you'd find on Style.com, while Chris Kleponis satisfied the frustrations of bloggers (like me) eager for more head-to-toe shots of Mrs. Obama with a full-length pic. Similarly, at her tour today of YouthBuild Americorps' energy efficient home construction project, Getty's Chip Somodevilla caught Obama in the above pose that's ready to go on this twinset designer's website right now. It seems the First Lady, who was criticized by some as looking uncomfortable on her Vogue cover, is getting more at ease with her "candid" close-up. Tyra would approve.
