Versace wanted to make sure to bring sexy back -- " Sexy, sexy, baby," was the mantra playing overhead as models ready for the club, the Red Carpet and a fashion gig, strutted down the runway. Sequins ( black, silver and midnight ) on bags, cropped tops, dresses, jackets and slacks were the reigning detail. Sleek fitting shirts, tops and slacks sets; shirt waist dresses with plunging necklines and sexy splits had a slight 80s theme, but not to the point where I felt she drenched her collection in the decade. Floor length evening gowns that bared shoulders and legs were set in jewel tones of turquoise, ice blue and ocean greens and fabrications of silks, jersey and sheer materials; these gowns are my favorite as they scream "Red Carpet!" and are classic Versace.
