Rihanna's Geometric Shaped Ruffle Skirt: Fly or Bye?

Still fab as ever, Rihanna was captured at last year's MTV VMAs rocking this jungle, acid wash, printed geometric skirt. Take style note that upon closer look, it appears to have several panels of square shaped fabric layered on top of each other. It's not a super easy skirt to rock, but I think she pulls it off well.......
