Shoe Question: How Much Is Too Much "Cut-Out"?

by Nana at July 8, 2009, 1:10 PM

The cut-out trend in shoes is growing tentacles by the minute with no two cut-outs alike. While some offer dainty peeks at delicate feet like the almost lace effect cut-outs on the Pour la Victoire peep-toe pumps (top row, left), others offer "aggressive" surprises like the scooped-out platform heel of the Giuseppe Zanottis (bottom row, right). As I've been perusing all the new shoes that hit the site this week, I was wondering, how much cut-out is too much for you? Personally, until I get a pedicure I'm leaning towards any style that doesn't focus on my heel or big toe...

yeah, all the shoes have lots of cut-out, but they're cute... as opposed to the hideous concoction to the lower right :/
