Would You Wear a Dress Backward?

When the news broke that Angelina Jolie hit the SAG Awards red carpet wearing her BCBG dress backward -- on purpose -- I wondered if other dress styles could be as flexible. In theory, this coral dress from Leanne Marshall's exclusive Bluefly collection seems like it could go both ways, though I'm not sure how it would work out at the collar if you actually buttoned it up. The plunging cut-out is totally on-trend (you could wear it with a candy colored or white tank underneath) and the soft, stretch, lightweight fabric seems like it would fall beautifully no matter which side you choose to wear out front.

I feel like there are better dresses you could wear backwards. Plus, the kind poofiness of the butt part of this dress seems like it could be very unflattering worn in the front.

the combination of the cut-out style and the poofiness sold me, actually. :-) bubble hems seem to be front/back agnostic.

Sheena from the Uniform Project has been wearing her dress backwards and it's turned out pretty cool. :)
