Twice a year, the super-organized (okay, neat-freak) side of my personality tells me it's time to clean out the closet and rid my life of things I haven't worn in a few months or, worse, completely forgotten I even own.
Like a cold, unfeeling lover, I take things I once adored and throw them aside. The goal is to minimize and de-clutter my small closet, hopefully making room for other things that will last longer than one season. By doing this, I have not only lessened the time it takes to dress in the morning (less options takes less time to choose), but I have also developed a sense of what will and will not work on me.
Now I can easily wade through a plethora of different styles and come up triumphant with the fad-proof essentials e.g. bootcut jeans, gold hoop earrings, black leather boots, and a ¾ length coat. And although I do throw in a trendy piece every now and again, I always return to clean, simple styles like these CZ stud earrings by Jardin. They easily coordinate with my other jewelry pieces and don't break my budget. Now what neat-freak of a girl doesn't love that?
